The UNICEF UK Baby Friendly Initiative has conducted a review of its Maternity Standards in order to ensure that practice is in line with the latest evidence and global standards, and also that it works alongside the previously recently reviewed Community Standards. The new Maternity Standards were launched at the Baby Friendly Conference in Harrogate in December 2010, and will be coming into effect from April 2011.
