[Collagen : physiological approach to skin healing,. Its application to the practical treatment of leg ulcers (author's transl)].

Collagen gel has been studied, during a comparative trial, as a topic for cicatrization on a series of twenty patients with severe leg ulcers rebellious to the usual methods of treatment. A complete healing was obtained in 16 cases out of 20, after a period of 8 to 60 days. Collafilm Gel must only be applied to clean, uninfected wounds. It's action seems noticeable by the appearance of network cicatrization, the mechanism and signification of which is being discussed by the authors.
