A study of the vascular tone of the posterior extremities in rabbits, of some blood lipid metabolism indices under conditions of experimental atherosclerosis and sensitization showed an increase in the vascular resistance in the areas investigated, and disturbance of lipid metabolism in two experimental groups of animals. The data obtained support the literature evidence that allergic component serves as one of the factors complicating the atherosclerosis course.
