[Bisphosphonate].

Bisphosphonates are now one of the standard therapy in the management of osteoporosis. Their significant efficacy in the prevention of vertebral and non-vertebral fractures has been proven. Anti-resorptive potency of bisphosphonates leaded new molecules available either orally or intravenously, from weekly to yearly administration. This review gives an overview of the efficacy as well as the clinical issues of the bisphosphonates.
