The aim of this study was to evaluate clinically and radiographically zinc oxide eugenol (ZOE) and Metapex as root canal filling material in primary teeth.
Forty-two necrotic primary teeth in two groups of children in the age group of 4-7 years were obturated with ZOE and Metapex and were followed up clinically and radiographically for a period of 6 months postoperatively.
The overall success rates of ZOE and Metapex were 85.71% and 90.48%, respectively.
Both ZOE and Metapex gave encouraging results; however, Metapex can be used more safely whenever there is a doubt about the patient's return for follow-up.
本研究旨在从临床和影像学方面评估氧化锌丁香酚(ZOE)和Metapex作为乳牙根管充填材料的效果。
选取42颗4至7岁儿童的坏死乳牙,分别用ZOE和Metapex进行根管充填,并在术后进行6个月的临床和影像学随访。
