The aim of this study was to evaluate clinically and radiographically zinc oxide eugenol (ZOE) and Metapex as root canal filling material in primary teeth.
Forty-two necrotic primary teeth in two groups of children in the age group of 4-7 years were obturated with ZOE and Metapex and were followed up clinically and radiographically for a period of 6 months postoperatively.
The overall success rates of ZOE and Metapex were 85.71% and 90.48%, respectively.
Both ZOE and Metapex gave encouraging results; however, Metapex can be used more safely whenever there is a doubt about the patient's return for follow-up.
本研究旨在从临床和影像学方面评估氧化锌丁香酚（ZOE）和Metapex作为乳牙根管充填材料的效果。
选取42颗4至7岁儿童的坏死乳牙，分别用ZOE和Metapex进行根管充填，并在术后进行6个月的临床和影像学随访。
ZOE和Metapex的总体成功率分别为85.71%和90.48%。
ZOE和Metapex均取得了令人鼓舞的结果；然而，当对患者能否按时复诊存在疑问时，Metapex的使用可能更安全。
