Abstract

This work is experimental and devoted to the study of functional activity of the pineal gland. The influence of the main biologically active substances (serotonin, melatonin, mexamin) produced by the epiphysis, on the hypothalamo-hypophysial structures was studied; results pointed to the significant role played by the epiphysis in the neuroendocrine regulation system.
