Clinical evaluation of radiography students during their performance of non-routine radiographic examinations can be quantified if the proper instrument is used. Such an instrument, referred to as the non-routine radiography examination evaluation by radiographic science faculty at Idaho State University, requires the student to perform a variety of atypical radiography examinations including trauma, paediatrics and portables. This particular instrument provides a mean of documentation and evaluation in an area of student competency which can otherwise be difficult to assess and evaluate.
