The object of this paper is to describe the problems of acute compartments syndromes, caused by muscular overexertion (in this case in the thigh) by a case report. Besides the description of the causes a potential pathomechanism in acute compartment syndrome, the authors discuss diagnostics, therapy and complications of these syndromes with due regard to the relevant scientific publications.
