To observe the therapeutic efficacy of acupoint heat-sensitization moxibustion on chronic diarrhea patients as well as its effects on the levels of gastrointestinal neurotic mediators such as serum gastrin (GAS) and plasma motilin (MTL).
Sixty chronic diarrhea patients of Pi-Shen deficiency syndrome were randomly assigned to Group A (30 cases, treated with acupoint heat-sensitization moxibustion, once daily) and Group B (30 cases, treated with Changtai Oral Liquid, 10 mL each time, three times daily). The therapeutic course was 4 weeks. Another 20 healthy volunteers were recruited as the health control group. The levels of serum GAS and plasma MTL were detected using radioimmunoassay before and after treatment. The cured rate, the markedly effective case, the effective case, the ineffective case, and the total effective rate were calculated by the end of the treatment.
Before treatment the serum GAS level was lower and the plasma MTL level higher in the two patient groups than in the health control group with statistical difference (P<0.05). There was no statistical difference in the symptom integral between the two patient groups and the health control group (P>0.05). After treatment the serum GAS level increased, the plasma MTL level and the symptom integral decreased in the two patient groups, showing statistical difference when compared with the same group before treatment (P<0.05, P<0.01). After treatment the symptom integral was lower in the treatment group than in the control group with statistical difference (P<0.05). There was no statistical difference in the GAS and MTL levels between the two patient groups (P>0.05). The total effective rate for clinical symptoms was significantly higher in Group A than in Group B with statistical difference (93.3% vs 73.3%, P<0.05).
The therapy of acupoint heat-sensitization moxibustion was effective for chronic diarrhea patients of Pi-Shen deficiency syndrome. It could regulate the levels of serum GAS and plasma MTL and improve the patients' clinical symptoms.
观察穴位热敏灸对慢性腹泻患者的治疗效果及其对血清胃泌素（GAS）、血浆胃动素（MTL）等胃肠神经递质水平的影响。
将60例脾肾两虚型慢性腹泻患者随机分为A组（30例，采用穴位热敏灸治疗，每日1次）和B组（30例，采用肠泰口服液治疗，每次10 mL，每日3次）。疗程为4周。另招募20名健康志愿者作为健康对照组。治疗前后采用放射免疫法检测血清GAS和血浆MTL水平。治疗结束时计算治愈率、显效病例、有效病例、无效病例及总有效率。
治疗前，两组患者血清GAS水平低于健康对照组，血浆MTL水平高于健康对照组，差异有统计学意义（P<0.05）。两组患者与健康对照组症状积分比较，差异无统计学意义（P>0.05）。治疗后，两组患者血清GAS水平升高，血浆MTL水平及症状积分降低，与治疗前比较差异有统计学意义（P<0.05，P<0.01）。治疗后，治疗组症状积分低于对照组，差异有统计学意义（P<0.05）。两组患者GAS、MTL水平比较，差异无统计学意义（P>0.05）。A组临床症状总有效率明显高于B组，差异有统计学意义（93.3%对73.3%，P<0.05）。
穴位热敏灸疗法治疗脾肾两虚型慢性腹泻患者疗效显著。可调节血清GAS、血浆MTL水平，改善患者临床症状。
