CONTEXT
Inflammatory myopathy, such as polymyositis, has been widely reported as paraneoplastic syndrome associated with various malignancies. However, its association with pancreas adenocarcinoma is very uncommon.
CASE REPORT
A case of a patient with paraneoplastic polymyositis of both legs associated with pancreatic adenocarcinoma is reported here. The diagnosis of polymyositis was highlighted by MRI and confirmed by histopathological examination. The surgical resection of the primary tumor led to the complete resolution of polymyositis with no further recurrence despite later metastases.
CONCLUSION
The association between pancreatic cancer and paraneoplastic polymyositis is very uncommon and has to be recognized by clinicians.
背景
炎性肌病，如多发性肌炎，已被广泛报道为与各种恶性肿瘤相关的副肿瘤综合征。然而，其与胰腺腺癌的关联非常罕见。
病例报告
本文报告一例与胰腺腺癌相关的双侧副肿瘤性多发性肌炎患者。MRI突出显示了多发性肌炎的诊断，并经组织病理学检查得以证实。原发肿瘤的手术切除使多发性肌炎完全缓解，尽管后来发生了转移，但未再复发。
结论
