The authors present three cases of cystic formations in orofacial region and neck--a parathyroid cyst behind sternocleidomastoid, branchial cyst in preauricular region and papillary cystadenoma in heterotopic salivary tissue in the mandible. They are drawing attention to the possibility of tumorous growth in heterotopic salivary tissue and to the correct interpretation of the terms as heterotopy, ectopy, dystopy, hamartoma and choristoma.
作者介绍了三例口面部区域和颈部的囊性肿物——一例胸锁乳突肌后方的甲状旁腺囊肿、一例耳前区的鳃裂囊肿以及一例下颌骨异位唾液腺组织中的乳头状囊腺瘤。他们提请注意异位唾液腺组织中肿瘤生长的可能性，以及对异位、异位、错位、错构瘤和迷离瘤等术语的正确解释。
