BACKGROUND
Congenital perineal mass is rare. Although there have been several reports describing male neonates with a perineal mass with urogenital anomalies, no similar cases have been reported in female infants.
CASE
We present a case of a 17-month-old girl with a congenital, slowly enlarging perineal mass with cervovaginal duplication. Excision of the mass was performed and histopathogic examination revealed it to be a hamartoma.
CONCLUSION
Congenital perineal mass may be the result of urorectal septum outgrowth and it is likely to be associated with urogenital and/or anorectal anomalies.
