Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) in a concentration of 10 ng/ml was identified by an immunoenzyme procedure in cancer patients 3-10 days after surgery. Elevated concentrations of alpha-fetoprotein were observed postoperatively in all cases of gastro-intestinal tumor and in 56.7% of patients with lung tumors. However, the antigen failed to exceed the said level in either of 38 patients operated for breast tumor.
通过免疫酶法在癌症患者术后3 - 10天检测到甲胎蛋白（AFP）浓度为10纳克/毫升。在所有胃肠道肿瘤病例以及56.7%的肺部肿瘤患者中，术后观察到甲胎蛋白浓度升高。然而，在38例接受乳腺肿瘤手术的患者中，该抗原浓度均未超过上述水平。
