Neurological injuries result from a variety of traumatic events which may become the subject of civil litigation. The emerging field of medical jurisprudence known as neurolaw deals specifically with traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury in the legal setting. This article reviews the myriad ramifications of neurolaw and provides practical suggestions to neurorehabilitation professionals who serve as expert witnesses in civil actions.
