Corticosteroid is a well-established cause of drug-induced pancreatitis. However, acute pancreatitis from intra-articular injection of corticosteroid has never been described.
A 69-year-old male presented with acute abdominal pain and was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis. The patient had one episode of acute pancreatitis two year earlier. Both episodes occurred after intra-articular cortisone injection. Investigations for other causes of pancreatitis were negative.
We report the first case of acute pancreatitis from intra-articular corticosteroid injection. Physicians should be aware of this adverse reaction of corticosteroid that can even occur with local administration.
皮质类固醇是药物性胰腺炎的一个公认病因。然而，关节内注射皮质类固醇引起的急性胰腺炎从未有过描述。
一名69岁男性因急性腹痛就诊，被诊断为急性胰腺炎。该患者两年前曾有过一次急性胰腺炎发作。两次发作均发生在关节内注射可的松之后。对胰腺炎其他病因的检查均为阴性。
我们报告了首例关节内注射皮质类固醇导致急性胰腺炎的病例。医生应意识到皮质类固醇的这种不良反应，即使是局部给药也可能发生。
