[Palliative treatment of esophageal cancer by vaporization with a Nd-YAG laser. Our first cases].

We report our first three cases of endoscopic Nd-YAG laser therapy for oesophageal cancer. In one patient, dysphagia was abolished; in the other, it was improved but endoscopic intubation had to be performed 50 days later. Dysphagia was unchanged in the third patient due to extraluminal oesophageal compression. These preliminary results are encouraging.
