OBJECTIVE
Primary vulvar sarcomas are rare lesions of the lower genital tract. We report the case of a patient with a spindle cell sarcoma of the vulva.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
A 44-year-old woman presented with a painless vulvar mass. Vulvar biopsy demonstrated a spindle cell sarcoma with myofibroblastic differentiation.
RESULTS
Pretreatment evaluation revealed no evidence of metastatic disease, and magnetic resonance imaging found no local masses. The patient underwent right radical vulvectomy with negative margins and tolerated the procedure well.
CONCLUSIONS
Women undergoing gynecologic care should have routine evaluation of the vulva to detect these rare neoplasms.
目的
原发性外阴肉瘤是下生殖道的罕见病变。我们报告一例外阴梭形细胞肉瘤患者的病例。
材料与方法
一名44岁女性出现无痛性外阴肿块。外阴活检显示为具有肌成纤维细胞分化的梭形细胞肉瘤。
结果
治疗前评估未发现转移疾病的证据，磁共振成像未发现局部肿块。患者接受了切缘阴性的右侧根治性外阴切除术，手术耐受性良好。
结论
接受妇科护理的女性应常规对外阴进行评估，以检测这些罕见肿瘤。
