Implications for practice and research: Quality of life (QOL) in long-term survivors of gynaecological cancer is similar to that of women without a cancer history. Demographical and clinical variables do not predict QOL in gynaecological cancer survivors. Physical and mental QOL in gynaecological cancer survivors is most strongly related to psychosocial factors, such as insecure attachment style and current state of anxiety. Further research is needed on how attachment style may affect coping with cancer and ultimately, QOL.
