[Psychopharmacological approach with the usage of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors in functional dyspepsia treatment].

Objective: To assess the efficacy of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) escitalopram in patients with functional dyspepsia (FD). Treatment results showed reduction of dyspeptic symptoms as well as significant decrease of anxiety and depression and improvement of quality of life in patients, who were additionally prescribed SSRI.
