[Seminoma in the undescended testis].

Maldescend testes are predisposed to tumor degeneration from embrional germinal dysgenesis, the cause of cryptorchidism. The risk of carcinogenesis is thirty to fifty times greater than in normal descended testes. The histologic features of this tumor type and its treatment do not differ from those of normotopic tumors.
