Abstract
PURPOSE
The purpose of this article is to improve quality in health care.
DESIGN/METHODOLOGY/APPROACH: This article developed the concepts of the health-care services in the form of a Medical Motorway.
FINDINGS
Different conceptual approaches to providing efficiency of services whilst improving quality of patient care in the context of an ageing population are presented.
