The purpose of this paper is to analyze the concept of health in an effort to promote theoretical clarity for nursing science. Included in the analysis are the following (a) a historical review of conceptual definitions and interpretations of health, (b) an evaluation of current theoretical orientations of health, (c) a delineation of critical attributes of health, (d) the development of case examples useful in examining health, (e) a consideration of potential operationalizations of health, and (f) a discussion of the relevance of health to nursing research and practice.
本文的目的是分析健康概念，以促进护理科学的理论清晰度。分析内容包括以下几点：（a）对健康概念定义和解释的历史回顾；（b）对当前健康理论取向的评估；（c）对健康关键属性的描述；（d）开发用于审视健康的案例示例；（e）对健康潜在可操作性的思考；（f）讨论健康与护理研究及实践的相关性。
