Abstract

OBJECTIVES

To determine the prevalence and determinants of acute pancreatitis in patients with acute brucellosis.

METHODS

Adult patients with brucellosis were retrospectively recruited. Brucellosis and acute pancreatitis were diagnosed according to standard criteria. Laboratory analyses included Wright agglutination titre, serum biochemical parameters and blood count.

RESULTS

Patients with acute pancreatitis (n = 21) had significantly higher Wright agglutination titres, alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase, γ-glutamyl transpeptidase, amylase, lipase and serum glucose concentrations, and significantly lower haemoglobin concentrations and haematocrit than patients with brucellosis alone (n = 326).

CONCLUSIONS

Hyperglycaemia, anaemia, and liver transaminase and cholestatic enzyme concentrations may represent new approaches for assessing disease severity in patients with brucellosis and acute pancreatitis.

目的

确定急性布鲁氏菌病患者中急性胰腺炎的患病率及决定因素。

方法

回顾性招募成年布鲁氏菌病患者。根据标准标准诊断布鲁氏菌病和急性胰腺炎。实验室分析包括wright凝集滴度、血清生化参数和血细胞计数。

结果

与单纯布鲁氏菌病患者(n = 326)相比,急性胰腺炎患者(n = 21)的wright凝集滴度、丙氨酸转氨酶、天冬氨酸转氨酶、碱性磷酸酶、γ-谷氨酰转肽酶、淀粉酶、脂肪酶和血清葡萄糖浓度显著更高,而血红蛋白浓度和血细胞比容显著更低。

结论

高血糖、贫血以及肝转氨酶和胆汁淤积酶浓度可能代表评估布鲁氏菌病和急性胰腺炎患者疾病严重程度的新方法。
