Epidemiological studies on fertility, spontaneous abortions, congenital malformations, preterm birth, and perinatal death is discussed. The article describes the possible reproductive hazards in occupations with exposure to pesticides, solvents, pharmaceutical products, textile colours, antineoplastic plastic drugs, anaesthetic gases, plastfumes, and metals. Finally the importance of prevention and further research in this area is stated.
