To investigate whether soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (sICAM-1) and soluble vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (sVCAM-1) levels are increased in euthyroid patients with Hashimoto's thyroiditis (HT) and whether they are associated with thyroid autoimmunity and metabolic parameters.
Cross-sectional.
In total, 80 euthyroid patients with HT and 80 age- and body mass index (BMI)-matched control participants were included. Serum sICAM-1, sVCAM-1, free triiodothyronine (fT3), free thyroxine (fT4), thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), thyroid peroxidase antibody (anti-TPO), thyroglobulin antibody (anti-TG), fasting blood glucose (FBG), insulin, and lipid levels and homeostasis model assessment for insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) were assessed in all participants.
The patients with HT had significantly higher levels of sICAM-1 and sVCAM-1 than controls (both p < 0.001). The difference was sustained after adjustment for TSH and levothyroxine use. Regression analysis demonstrated that sICAM-1 was related to anti-TPO (p < 0.001), and sVCAM-1 was related to both anti-TPO and-TG (p < 0.001 and p = 0.03, respectively); this relationship was sustained after adjustment for age and BMI. Although FBG and HOMA-IR were higher in the HT group, logistic regression analysis revealed that there was no effect of anti-TPO, anti-TG, sICAM-1, sVCAM-1, and C-reactive protein (CRP) on the occurrence of high FBG and high HOMA-IR.
sICAM-1 and sVCAM-1 levels were significantly elevated in the patients with euthyroid HT and correlated closely with thyroid autoimmunity. However, soluble adhesion molecules had no relation with glucose metabolism parameters in the HT patients.
探讨桥本甲状腺炎（HT）甲状腺功能正常患者的可溶性细胞间黏附分子-1（sICAM-1）和可溶性血管细胞黏附分子-1（sVCAM-1）水平是否升高，以及它们是否与甲状腺自身免疫和代谢参数相关。
横断面研究。
共纳入80例甲状腺功能正常的HT患者和80例年龄及体重指数（BMI）匹配的对照参与者。检测所有参与者的血清sICAM-1、sVCAM-1、游离三碘甲状腺原氨酸（fT3）、游离甲状腺素（fT4）、促甲状腺激素（TSH）、甲状腺过氧化物酶抗体（抗-TPO）、甲状腺球蛋白抗体（抗-TG）、空腹血糖（FBG）、胰岛素、血脂水平以及胰岛素抵抗的稳态模型评估（HOMA-IR）。
HT患者的sICAM-1和sVCAM-1水平显著高于对照组（均p < 0.001）。在调整TSH和左甲状腺素使用后，差异仍然存在。回归分析表明，sICAM-1与抗-TPO相关（p < 0.001），sVCAM-1与抗-TPO和抗-TG均相关（分别为p < 0.001和p = 0.03）；在调整年龄和BMI后，这种关系仍然存在。虽然HT组的FBG和HOMA-IR较高，但逻辑回归分析显示，抗-TPO、抗-TG、sICAM-1、sVCAM-1和C反应蛋白（CRP）对高FBG和高HOMA-IR的发生没有影响。
甲状腺功能正常的HT患者的sICAM-1和sVCAM-1水平显著升高，且与甲状腺自身免疫密切相关。然而，可溶性黏附分子与HT患者的糖代谢参数无关。
