In brief: The author has created a sportsmedicine bag to cover life-threatening emergencies that might arise during football or hockey games. The items in it can be divided into (1) medication to handle the acute phase and a container to carry it, (2) ancillary equipment for cardiopulmonary and head/neck trauma, and (3) a communication system to call an ambulance quickly. The author also suggests carrying a backboard and universal knee splint.
