Lycium barbarum (L. barbarum) polysaccharides (LBPs) are the main bioactive component. However, effect of LBP on spermatogenesis of mice with impaired reproduction system induced by cyclophosphamide is undetermined.
This study aims to investigate the effect of LBP on spermatogenesis of rats with impaired reproduction system induced by cyclophosphamide. Kunming mice were randomly divided into five groups as follows: normal control group, model group (treated with cyclophosphamide) and three LBP groups (treated with cyclophosphamide and 0.2, 0.4 and 0.6 g/kg LBPs, respectively).
Results indicate that LBP treatment improved sperm density, sperm movement, the rate of normal sperm morphology, and protein expression and superoxide dismutase activity in the testes of the mice and decreased the nitrate nitrogen level in the testes of the mice.
LBPs have obviously protective effect on the spermatogenesis of rats with impaired reproduction system induced by cyclophosphamide.
枸杞多糖(LBPs)是枸杞的主要生物活性成分。然而,枸杞多糖对环磷酰胺诱导的生殖系统受损小鼠精子发生的影响尚不确定。
本研究旨在探讨枸杞多糖对环磷酰胺诱导的生殖系统受损大鼠精子发生的影响。将昆明小鼠随机分为五组:正常对照组、模型组(用环磷酰胺处理)和三个枸杞多糖组(分别用环磷酰胺和0.2、0.4和0.6 g/kg枸杞多糖处理)。
结果表明,枸杞多糖处理提高了小鼠精子密度、精子活力、正常精子形态率以及睾丸中的蛋白质表达和超氧化物歧化酶活性,并降低了小鼠睾丸中的硝酸盐氮水平。
枸杞多糖对环磷酰胺诱导的生殖系统受损大鼠的精子发生具有明显的保护作用。
