The authors emphasize informative inadequacy of traditional laboratory diagnosis and anti-inflammatory efficacy of treatment of chronic bronchitis. It is proposed to use a new method (Sigma-ESR) reflecting the activity and specificity of tissue processes in the lungs during inflammation that substantiates objectification of diagnosis.
