Postoperative cystic duct fistula is an uncommon complication after cholecystectomy. Nonoperative management includes endoscopic retrograde or percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage, and percutaneous catheter drainage of fluid collections. Transcatheter occlusion of the leaking cystic duct remnant proved a valuable alternative treatment when biliary stenting failed for technical reasons.
