In chronic experiments on dogs, stimulation of beta-adrenoreceptive systems with alupent inhibited the juice-, acid- and pepsin-releasing functions of the stomach induced with pentagastrin. beta-adrenoreceptors seem to take part in the gastrin mechanism of regulation of the stomach secretory activity.
