Here we report the draft genome sequence of sp. CRA2 isolated from the Nama Karoo shrub land soils of the Northern Cape, South Africa. This genome is approximately 5.88 Mb long and the assembly comprised 45 contigs. The draft genome sequence has been deposited in DDBJ/EMBL/GenBank under the accession number NZ_MVBC00000000 and is available for download at: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nuccore/NZ_MVBC00000000.1.
