Using blood, plasma and serum of rainbow trout conventional and dry-chemical methods (Reflotron) were compared regarding gamma-GT, hemoglobin (Hb), triglycerides (TG), cholesterin (Chol), and glucose (Gluc). Both methods failed to detect gamma-GT in trout. The dry-chemical analysis of Hb was disturbed by the nuclei of the erythrocytes. Plasma and/or serum showed to be convenient for the dry-chemical assay of TG, Chol and Gluc. The results of the dry-chemical analysis of TG had to be corrected by a factor.
