BACKGROUND
Involvement of the central nervous system in patients with syphilis (neurosyphilis) may result in several neuropsychiatric symptoms. Rarely, patients with neurosyphillis may develop movement disorders with different phenomenology. Subtle orofacial dyskinesias have been reported in patients with neurosyphilis, known as the candy sign.
CASE REPORT
We describe a patient with neurosyphilis who presented with severe orofacial involuntary movements.
DISCUSSION
Our patient had orofacial movements at presentation and severity of the movements was much higher than the candy sign that has been reported in patients with neurosyphilis. This report contributes towards the ever-expanding clinical spectrum of neurosyphilis.
背景
梅毒患者（神经梅毒）的中枢神经系统受累可能导致多种神经精神症状。神经梅毒患者很少会出现具有不同表现的运动障碍。已有报道称神经梅毒患者会出现细微的口面部运动障碍，即所谓的糖果征。
病例报告
我们描述了一名患有神经梅毒且出现严重口面部不自主运动的患者。
讨论
我们的患者在就诊时出现口面部运动，且运动严重程度远高于已报道的神经梅毒患者的糖果征。本报告有助于进一步拓展神经梅毒的临床谱。
