On the basis of an analysis of 1062 operations on the thyroid gland the authors make a conclusion that incidence of cancer of the thyroid gland in the focus of the moderate goiter endemia is 9,6%. Three stages of the development of cancer of the thyroid gland are established: a) precancer, b) latent stage of cancer (histological findings), c) stage of manifest cancer. Complex methods of treatment were used such as radical operation followed by the obligatory radiation therapy (in patients having no contraindications) and permanent treatment by thyroidine in combination with chemotherapy (on indications). Remote results followed in 92 patients during 9 years were quite satisfactory. Recurrences were found in 2 patients.
基于对1062例甲状腺手术的分析，作者得出结论，在中度甲状腺肿地方性流行区，甲状腺癌的发病率为9.6%。确定了甲状腺癌发展的三个阶段：a）癌前病变，b）癌症潜伏期（组织学检查结果），c）明显癌症阶段。采用了综合治疗方法，如根治性手术，随后进行必要的放射治疗（无禁忌证的患者）以及根据指征用甲状腺素联合化疗进行长期治疗。92例患者9年的远期结果相当令人满意。发现2例复发。
