The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in pulmonary function among Sasang constitutional types in young adults. The Sasang Constitutional Analysis Tool (SCAT), pulmonary function tests (PFTs), and cardiopulmonary exercise tests were conducted in 417 participants from 2009 to 2015. Subjects with the Tae-Eum (TE) type had significantly higher inspiratory capacity (IC) and inspiratory reserve volume (IRV) values than those with the So-Yang (SY) and So-Eum (SE) types ( < 0.0001). The TE and SY types showed higher forced vital capacity (FVC) and forced expiratory volume in 1 sec (FEV) values than the SE type ( < 0.0001). An increase in IRV and a decrease in expiratory reserve volume (ERV) in TE type males remained even after adjusting for covariate factors. These results indicate that young adults with the TE type have weaker lung function than those with the other constitutional types, suggesting its innate physiological pulmonary features.
本研究的目的是确定年轻成年人不同体质类型之间的肺功能差异。2009年至2015年期间,对417名参与者进行了体质分析工具(SCAT)、肺功能测试(PFTs)和心肺运动测试。太阴(TE)型受试者的吸气容量(IC)和吸气储备量(IRV)值显著高于少阴(SY)型和少阳(SE)型受试者(<0.0001)。太阴(TE)型和少阴(SY)型的用力肺活量(FVC)和第1秒用力呼气量(FEV)值高于少阳(SE)型(<0.0001)。即使在调整协变量因素后,太阴(TE)型男性的吸气储备量增加和呼气储备量(ERV)减少仍然存在。这些结果表明,太阴(TE)型年轻成年人的肺功能比其他体质类型的人弱,提示其先天性生理肺部特征。
