Generation of cAMP was measured on human thyroid slices and indirect immunofluorescence was carried out on frozen human thyroid sections. Sera from 16 previously not treated thyrotoxic patients and from 5 euthyroid patients were used. The majority of the thyrotoxic sera (13 out of 16) provoked enhanced generation of cAMP and the same cases showed positivity by indirect immunofluorescence. The possible connection between enhanced generation of cAMP and detectability of antibodies binding to different thyroid structures is discussed.
在人甲状腺切片上测定环磷酸腺苷(cAMP)的生成,并在冷冻的人甲状腺切片上进行间接免疫荧光检测。使用了16例未经治疗的甲状腺毒症患者和5例甲状腺功能正常患者的血清。大多数甲状腺毒症血清(16例中的13例)引起cAMP生成增强,且相同病例通过间接免疫荧光显示为阳性。讨论了cAMP生成增强与结合不同甲状腺结构的抗体可检测性之间的可能联系。
