[Effect of aggressive tumor therapy on nutrient utilization and nutritional status].

The nutritional consequences of oncologic surgery, cytostatic treatment, and of radiotherapy are reviewed with special respect to gastrointestinal function as well as nutrient assimilation and utilization. The different types of nutritional intervention, which may be necessary to overcome the treatment-induced malnutrition are discussed.
