The current study aims to explore the establishment of the patient-derived tumor xenograft (PDTX) model.
Twenty patients with gastric cancer, 10 males and 10 females, were enrolled in the current study. Firstly, the volume, invasion and metastasis of the xenografts were observed. Subsequently, the correlation between tumor tissues of the PDTX mouse model and the patients' primary tumor tissues was evaluated by pathological H&E staining and immunohistochemistry.
The results showed that the PDTX models corresponding to 15 of the 20 patients were successfully established, and the success rate of PDTX model establishment was 75%. Furthermore, the PDTX models maintained the differentiation degree, morphological characteristics and structural characteristics of tumor cells.
A PDTX model can be used as a substitute for cancer patients in clinical practice and may be suitable for clinical pharmacodynamic screening and new drug development.
本研究旨在探索建立患者来源的肿瘤异种移植(PDTX)模型。
本研究纳入了20例胃癌患者,其中男性10例,女性10例。首先,观察异种移植瘤的体积、侵袭和转移情况。随后,通过病理苏木精-伊红(H&E)染色和免疫组织化学评估PDTX小鼠模型的肿瘤组织与患者原发肿瘤组织之间的相关性。
