Abstract

• Respiratory droplets can travel beyond current physical distancing recommendations. • Limited evidence of air pollution linked to respiratory transmission. • COVID-19 close contact and testing criteria may need to consider these findings. • Universal masking may provide a viable option against these transmission dynamics.
