Climate change and environmental management are issues of global concern. The advent of the era of Big Data has created a new research platform for the assessment of environmental governance and policies. However, little is known about Big Data application to climate change and environmental management research. This paper adopts bibliometric analysis in conjunction with network analysis to systematically evaluate the publications on carbon emissions and environmental management based on Big Data and Streaming Data using R package and VOSviewer software. The analysis involves 274 articles after rigorous screening and includes citation analysis, co-citation analysis, and co-word analysis. Main findings include (1) Carbon emissions and environmental management based on big data and streaming data is an emerging multidisciplinary research topic, which has been applied in the fields of computer science, supply chain design, transportation, carbon price assessment, environmental policy evaluation, and CO emissions reduction. (2) This field has attracted the attention of nations which are major contributors to the world economy. In particular, European and American scholars have made the main contributions to this topic, and Chinese researchers have also had great impact. (3) The research content of this topic is primarily divided into four categories, including empirical studies of specific industries, air pollution governance, technological innovation, and low-carbon transportation. Our findings suggest that future research should bring greater depth of practical and modeling analysis to environmental policy assessment based on Big Data.
气候变化和环境管理是全球关注的问题。大数据时代的到来为环境治理和政策评估创造了一个新的研究平台。然而,大数据在气候变化和环境管理研究中的应用知之甚少。本文采用文献计量分析结合网络分析,利用 R 包和 Vosviewer 软件,系统地评估了基于大数据和流数据的碳排放与环境管理研究。经过严格筛选,共得到 274 篇论文,包括引文分析、共引分析和共词分析。主要发现包括:(1)基于大数据和流数据的碳排放与环境管理是一个新兴的多学科研究课题,已应用于计算机科学、供应链设计、交通、碳价评估、环境政策评价和 CO2 减排等领域;(2)该领域吸引了世界经济大国的关注,特别是欧美学者在该主题上做出了主要贡献,中国研究人员也产生了很大的影响;(3)该主题的研究内容主要分为四类,包括特定行业的实证研究、空气污染治理、技术创新和低碳交通。研究结果表明,未来的研究应该基于大数据对环境政策评估进行更深入的实际和建模分析。
