The genus Chevrolat is redefined based on study of the type species (Faldermann, 1835). All Taiwanese species of are transferred to three new genera: Kimoto, 1976 and (Chûjô, 1935) are transferred to ; Kimoto, 1976 is transferred to ; Takizawa, 1978 is transferred to . Two species are described: and (Chûjô, 1938) and (Chûjô, 1962) are regarded as synonyms of (Chûjô, 1935) , and Lee, 2009 is synonymized with (Kimoto, 1976) Gressitt & Kimoto, 1963 is redescribed and transferred to Taiwanese records of are based on misidentifications and represent specimens of . Variablity of adult color patterns is discussed.
