A Gram-stain-negative, catalase- and oxidase-positive, rod-shaped and motile strain FT127W was isolated from a subtropical stream in China. Comparison based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that strain FT127W belongs to genus Massilia and shares 98.5% similarity with Massilia buxea A9 as its closest neighbor. The genome size of strain FT127W was 6.65 Mbp with G + C content of 65.3%. The calculated pairwise OrthoANIu values and digital DNA-DNA hybridization values between strain FT127W and each of strains M. buxea KCTC 52429, Massilia armeniaca ZMN-3, Massilia plicata DSM 17505 and Massilia namucuonensis CGMCC 1.11014 were less than 83.1% and 26.6%, respectively. The reconstructed phylogenomic tree based on concatenated 92 core genes showed that strain FT127W clusters closely with M. namucuonensis CGMCC 1.11014. The respiratory quinone of strain FT127W was Q-8. The major fatty acids were C ω7c, C and C. The polar lipids consisted of phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylglycerol and one unidentified phospholipid. Combining above all characteristics, strain FT127W should represent a novel species within genus Massilia, for which the name Massilia aquatica sp. nov. (type strain FT127W = GDMCC 1.1690 = KACC 21482) is proposed.
从中国一条亚热带溪流中分离出一株革兰氏染色阴性、过氧化氢酶和氧化酶阳性、杆状且具运动性的菌株FT127W。基于16S rRNA基因序列的比较表明,菌株FT127W属于马赛菌属,与最接近的邻居布氏马赛菌A9的相似度为98.5%。菌株FT127W的基因组大小为6.65 Mbp,G+C含量为65.3%。菌株FT127W与布氏马赛菌KCTC 52429、亚美尼亚马赛菌ZMN-3、褶曲马赛菌DSM 17505和纳木错马赛菌CGMCC 1.11014各菌株之间计算的成对OrthoANIu值和数字DNA-DNA杂交值分别小于83.1%和26.6%。基于92个核心基因串联构建的系统发育树表明,菌株FT127W与纳木错马赛菌CGMCC 1.11014紧密聚类。菌株FT127W的呼吸醌为Q-8。主要脂肪酸为C ω7c、C和C。极性脂质由磷脂酰乙醇胺、磷脂酰甘油和一种未鉴定的磷脂组成。综合上述所有特征,菌株FT127W应代表马赛菌属内的一个新物种,为此提出名称水生马赛菌新种(模式菌株FT127W = GDMCC 1.1690 = KACC 21482)。
