This study was designed to analyze the global research on Lophomonas spp. using bibliometric techniques.
A bibliometric research was carried out using the Scopus database. The analysis unit was the research articles conducted on Lophomonas spp.
A total of 56 articles on Lophomonas spp. were indexed in the Scopus throughout 1933-2019 (87 years) with the following information: (A) The first article was published in 1933; (B) 21 different countries contributed in studies related to Lophomonas spp.; (C) China ranked first with 16 publications about Lophomonas spp.; and (D) "Brugerolle, G" and "Beams, H.W." from France and the US participated in 4 articles respectively, as the highest number of publications in the Lophomonas spp. network.
After 87 years, Lophomonas still remains unknown for many researchers and physicians around the world. Further studies with high quality and international collaboration are urgently needed to determine different epidemiological aspects and the real burden of the mysterious parasite worldwide.
本研究旨在利用文献计量学技术分析全球关于滴虫属的研究。
使用 Scopus 数据库进行了一项文献计量学研究。分析单元是关于滴虫属的研究文章。
在 1933 年至 2019 年(87 年)期间,Scopus 共收录了 56 篇关于滴虫属的文章,具有以下信息:(A)第一篇文章于 1933 年发表;(B)21 个不同国家在与滴虫属相关的研究中做出了贡献;(C)中国以 16 篇关于滴虫属的文章排名第一;(D)来自法国和美国的“Brugerolle,G”和“Beams,H.W.”分别参与了 4 篇文章,成为滴虫属网络中发表文章数量最多的作者。
经过 87 年,滴虫属仍然不为世界上许多研究人员和医生所了解。需要进一步开展高质量的国际合作研究,以确定神秘寄生虫在世界范围内的不同流行病学方面和真实负担。
