Abstract

BACKGROUND/PURPOSE: Composite resin is currently the most widely used dental restoration material. Previous studies have demonstrated that the application of Chlorhexidine (CHX) on the dentin surface after acid etching can result in an improvement in the integrity and stability of tooth restoration through time. In order to better understand whether CHX can help improve the stability of the resin-dentin bond strength, in this study, a comprehensive review of the effect of adding CHX to the adhesive system on the stability of immediate and long-term resin-dentin bond strength was conducted.

MATERIALS AND METHODS

This article was written in accordance with the PRISMA Statement and is registered on the International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews (registration number CRD42018084962). Six electronic databases including PubMed, Embase, Cochrane library, ISI Web of Science, ClinicalTrials.gov and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) were searched up to October, 2018. Ten articles were selected from 340 possible eligible articles for meta-analysis, and 41 sets of data were analyzed in the meta-analysis.

RESULTS

The results indicated that the use of 0.1% and 0.2% CHX does not adversely affect the immediate bond strength ( > 0.05), but both 0.1% and 0.2% CHX increased bond strength compared with the control group over 12 months ( < 0.05). However, this trend does not represent a longer period of aging.

CONCLUSION

In these in vitro clinical trials, CHX incorporated into the bonding systems maintained the stability of bond strength.

背景/目的:复合树脂是目前应用最广泛的牙科修复材料。以往研究表明,酸蚀后在牙本质表面应用氯己定(CHX)可使牙齿修复体的完整性和稳定性随时间得到改善。为了更好地了解CHX是否有助于提高树脂-牙本质粘结强度的稳定性,本研究对在粘结系统中添加CHX对即刻和长期树脂-牙本质粘结强度稳定性的影响进行了全面综述。

材料与方法

本文按照PRISMA声明撰写,并在国际前瞻性系统评价注册库(注册号CRD42018084962)注册。检索了包括PubMed、Embase、Cochrane图书馆、ISI科学网、ClinicalTrials.gov和中国知网(CNKI)在内的6个电子数据库,检索截至2018年10月。从340篇可能符合条件的文章中筛选出10篇进行荟萃分析,荟萃分析中分析了41组数据。

结果

结果表明,使用0.1%和0.2%的CHX对即刻粘结强度没有不利影响(P>0.05),但在12个月后,0.1%和0.2%的CHX与对照组相比均提高了粘结强度(P<0.05)。然而,这种趋势并不代表更长时间的老化。

结论

在这些体外临床试验中,添加到粘结系统中的CHX保持了粘结强度的稳定性。
