A new -abietane lactone, 3-oxojolkinolide A (), together with 16 known compounds, helioscopinolide E (), helioscopinolide A (), 3-methyl-9-carbazole (), carbalexin (), carbalexin B (), glycaborinine (), arborinine (), 1-indole-3-carbaldehyde (), glycoamide A (), glycoamide B (), 2-(-methyl-2-phenylacetamido)benzoic acid (), 2-(methylamine)-methylbenzoate (), fraxidin (), scopoletin (), (-)-syringaresinol () and ferulic acid () were isolated from . The structures of these compounds were elucidated using spectroscopic techniques such as NMR and MS. Among them, compounds -, and - were isolated from the genus for the first time.
