Abstract

sp. strain HAL-16, which was isolated from Antarctic soil samples, synthesizes a yellow pigment. The complete genome consists of a single circular chromosome (4,372,398 bp, with a G+C content of 62.7%) and a single circular plasmid (57,025 bp, with a G+C content of 59.4%). Five genes encoding carotenogenic enzymes were identified, suggesting that the yellow pigment is a hydroxy/keto-β-carotene.

从南极土壤样本中分离出的sp.菌株HAL-16能合成一种黄色色素。其完整基因组由一条单一的环状染色体(4,372,398 bp,G+C含量为62.7%)和一条单一的环状质粒(57,025 bp,G+C含量为59.4%)组成。鉴定出了五个编码类胡萝卜素生成酶的基因,这表明该黄色色素是一种羟基/酮基-β-胡萝卜素。
