Operators of chain saws, rock drills, chipping hammers, pedestal grinders, and other power tools and machines have long been aware of the tingling, blanching, and numbness of their fingers. The effects of this syndrome on the worker can range from mild or occasional discomfort or inconvenience to severe social or occupational disability.
