The investigation of patients with haematuria.

Haematuria is a common and very important presenting feature in renal disease. Microscopic or macroscopic haematuria should be fully investigated to elucidate the cause. Urine microscopy is very valuable in determining the source of the haematuria and hence the nature of subsequent investigations.
