Abstract

is an important genus of d-xylose-fermenting yeasts that are poorly studied in China. During recent yeast collections in Yunnan Province in China, 13 isolates of were obtained from rotting wood and all represent undescribed taxa. Based on morphological and phylogenetic analyses (ITS and nuc 28S), five new species are proposed: , , , and . Our results indicate a high species diversity of waiting to be discovered in rotting wood from tropical and subtropical southwest China. In addition, the two species, and , which are members of the clade based on phylogeny, are transferred to as new combinations.

摘要

是一类重要的能发酵D-木糖的酵母,在中国对其研究较少。在中国云南省近期的酵母采集过程中,从腐烂木材中获得了13株该属菌株,均代表未描述的分类单元。基于形态学和系统发育分析(ITS和核28S),提出了五个新物种:、、、和。我们的结果表明,在中国西南热带和亚热带地区的腐烂木材中,该属存在有待发现的高物种多样性。此外,基于系统发育属于分支的两个该属物种和,作为新组合被转移到属。
