In this study, the complete mitochondrial genome sequence of Piao chicken () was obtained by using the next-generation sequencing method for the first time. The complete mitogenome sequence of Piao chicken contains 2 ribosomal RNAs, 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes and a D-loop region. This study serves as a valuable genetic resource for mitochondrial studies and can be used in understanding the maternal lineages of native chickens.
在本研究中，首次采用下一代测序方法获得了瓢鸡的完整线粒体基因组序列。瓢鸡的完整线粒体基因组序列包含2个核糖体RNA、13个蛋白质编码基因、22个转运RNA基因和一个D环区域。本研究为线粒体研究提供了宝贵的遗传资源，可用于了解本地鸡的母系谱系。
